Dame Margaret Barbour designed the Bedale for jockeys: a shortened length, a comfortable fit, back vents and the essential nylon anti-drip inner band that stopped the horse's moisture from seeping into the jacket. It is made in medium-weight waxed cotton (170 g), extremely functional, with a cotton lining in the Classic Barbour tartan pattern and provision for an optional zip-in thermal liner and hood. The back length in size 38 is 76.2 cm.
In archive olive, it is a jacket to wear with knitwear and jeans on country walks, or with a shirt and corduroy trousers in town. The perfect jacket for all year round.
Shell: medium-weight Thornproof waxed cotton (170 g). Lining: 100% cotton with a Classic Barbour tartan pattern.
